It’s been a few days since I have heard from the people at Anchor, so I sent them an email, more updates coming as I know.

I went to drivethru last night get get a link for Trick or Treat and found out that Drivethru is having a small press spotlight sale. https://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse/pub/14046/Chantel-Jones it last for the next four days.

I use to work with this guy and every day he would tell me how much he hates is life, he had a full time job working where we worked, and then on Saturday he had a part time job working for the Post Office. And every day I would tell him to find a different job, He had a degree in Film making so he could go do that.

I saw him today, and I am not sure his life is any better, I mean being a manager at a Thrift can’t really be better than working at Nu Skin can it? I don’t think so, but the point is if it works for him and his family than it’s good enough.

I have a pretty good life, I mean it would be nice if I could pay all the bills with my writing and patreon, and maybe some day I will so I don’t have to go to a job I hate. but at the end of the day I am doing what I enjoy and that is good enough for me.

Happy Thor’s day to all of you. Aside from maybe playing a game or two of Magic, I don’t know how much gaming as gone on since last week. Ok I lied I did get a game of Phase 10 in with the family.

The Facebook crash was nice. I was not going to talk about it a lot, but saw someone ask if it was really that big of a deal? Yeah for some of us it was, there are people that use it as a means to talk to people, and others that use it of business. I mean it sucks as a place trying to promote your work, but it’s a way.

The Final Dream: The Temple of Zeus is coming a long, it will be done this week I think, there are somethings I have to do for my wife’s business, so we will see. And then I will just need art.

Ravenloft: Yes well here we are. I really need to get The Temple of Golden Nuts done, so I can focus on this all the time.

For a minute I thought I have figured out the issue with Anchor, but it seems I had not, so we will keep waiting to hear back from them. If I don’t hear anything by Friday I will email them.

VGC2 has come to an end. it was a fun weekend of gaming. I was able to run Castle Roan for a group. I was on a twitch show, and I should have had the show on in the background so I could have shared a link to the website but I did not even think about that until I was getting dressed today. So something to remember next year.

In September I made 6.66 dollars from Patreon. 2.08 on Drivethru and 0 dollars on Lulu. and I think I use to track Ebay, I have not got the report yet, but I think I made about 200 dollar.

The First Goal this week is to get The Temple of Golden Nuts done. I have one more Cat of The Round Table to do in the morning and then, I can get the rest of the adventure typed up. I might need to get a new artist, but we will figure that out before my post on Thursday.

The second Goal is to get going more on the Adventure for Ice and Dice. I need to get it done because the guy doing the maps, wants a copy so he can get a feel for my style.

The last goal is only related to gaming, because I will look good for Ice and Dice, but I really need to get back to working out so I can be a different shape than round.

The Ice and Dice Adventure: I just sent of the concept for the cover art, now I need to get to writing it.

There is so much to do before the con this weekend. I have to do my Patreon stuff for the coming month. Still trying to find a job, and so much other stuff.

I don’t think I am going to get everything in the Temple of Golden Nuts done before the end of tomorrow. The things I am doing with the Knight of the Round table is turning out to be bigger then I thought but I should have known that was how it was going to be.

That being said, the Temple of Set will come out in Q4, so I guess getting to adventures will be a good deal.

I don’t think this blog is going to have two parts. But let’s get into it, everyone should have seen this coming with all the rule books that were coming out, and when they sent out the survey asking about what you thought of the Classes in the PHB?

I guess the biggest thing I want to talk about is that it will be D&D 5.5 and not 6e because if they brand it as a new game, they are going to lose all those people that I talked about in the first blog, and will have to start rebuilding what they already have. but if they brand it .5 like they did back in the day with 3, those people that have decided that 5e is their game will start buying the .5 books.

The other thing about it not being 6e. This is just a cash grab like I said it would be. How do I know this. the Gift set that is coming out in January, will later in the year be sold as single books. If it was going to be a new editions they would dump all their 5e stuff in a mad dash to get ready for 6e. There is also the always you know a new edition coming out sign. They have not said anything about a Manual of the Planes. the white flag that an edition is dying.

Now there are some people that say how do you know it’s 5.5 and not 6e they were really vague While they have to be, if they came out and said that in 2024 we are making 6e, everyone would stop buying the books that are coming out between now and then even if they are backwards compatible.

Side note the first. what does backwards Compatible even mean these are books not a Play station 5, you can convert any book you want to fit the system you want, it’s always been that way. It’s one of the things that makes the game so Great!

Side note 2. They have to be vague because if WotC said we are coming out with D&D 6e in 2024, the Production of PF 3 would start tomorrow and would come out before 6e and might just might take the spotlight from WotC again. and wizards can’t have that.

I told someone that today, I would do a deck list for my commander deck, but that was before I deiced I was not going to do my This week in Gaming blog yesterday. I did not do a lot yesterday. So that deck list will just have to wait until tomorrow.

I don’t know how much stuff I am going to get done today either, I only feel slightly better than I did yesterday. And I have a few things that are going to take me away from everything like going to D&D club with my son.
