Many moons ago my dude Timmothy from The Other Side Publishing wrote a blog post about how D&D is old and it needs a new setting. The Other Side blog: Why D&D 5.5 (2024) Needs a New Campaign World. After that I started a blog post of my own and after Ravenloft I kind of gave up because I don’t really care about Wizbro’s anymore there are so many other companies making way better products.
But this year we have learned that Wizards after saying they were not releasing anything this year. they are indeed releasing 1.3 things I will get in the .3 in a minute. But the one thing they are releasing is a new Ravenloft book. I don’t think anyone at Wizbros is reading my blog but it does make me a little happy that I kind of know what I am talking about. But it’s interesting to me that as I travel the internet Spelljammer has a bigger following.
Now as happy as I am that my 5e friends are getting a new Ravenloft book it’s not a new world.
Now let’s get to the .3. I say wizbros is creating .3 because the new Greyhawk books coming out are not going to be here until the end of the year but will most likely be next year. Good for the Greyhawk fans and even better for all the dudes that made you tube video’s about how they are done with wizards because they don’t like old white guys anymore. And I am sorry but wizards teaming up with Luke is nothing more than we are sorry old white guys. And a Greyhawk from Luke is still not a new world.
