I had plans for after I ran out of topics, but today’s topic of Burden has made it so I still have some topics to talk about. Anyway, the first thing I did when I read this topic was tell my boy at The Other Side Publishing The Other Side blog: #RPGaDAY2026: Day 5 Burden that is song pick for today better be Best of Durden. But I just found out that he picked a different song.
There is a lot to talk about on the subject of the Burdens hero’s face every day. Or the Burden this sexy bitch deals with in trying to get to play D&D every day.
Someone once told me that Scott Summers was not really a dick, but the Burden he faced of Leading the X-man at such a young age. And I mean I can see that but also Scott Summer was a dick and no one likes him, so he also had to deal with two burdens.
D&D Heros get to deal with the Burdens of not being able to carry all the gold they find, or that the dragon they have to kill is way more powerful than them. They also might have the burden of getting sick from eating the monsters they find in the Dungeon.
Coming up with ideas for topics of this challenge has been a burden for sure.
