Today’s adventure to the post office to send more eBay stuff off, is about me. And not in the what the Fuck is this Moron doing kind of way. But in the How the Hell did the city of Orem, Utah get so big that it now has four zip codes kind of Way.

But for really how and when did this happen there is really not any where Orem can grow is away that it would need two more zip codes.

After the Post office. The wife and I took the kids on a drive to Wyoming for a walk along the Bear River. The River has gone way down since my wife and I were there in May. It kind of makes me want to go back in a month and see where the water level is.

After the Walk I went to Heros’ realm the local game store to drop off one of my Flyer to try and get more business.

It’s been an okay week, there has been lots of typing mostly because of Set backs. I should have all the pre-gens done today. Then I will be back on track.

What’s happening this week at The Swamp?

Today’s adventure starts at Juffy Lube, I told them that I need to register my car, then when the lady came to check me out she said would you like the renewal? I said Excuse me? why would I not want the renewal if I need to register my car? Well you see some people get the emissions and then go home and do the renewal online. Why the fuck would you do that? it’s a state fee so even if you go do it at home your still going to pay 95 dollars and then you have to wait for your tag to show up in the mail.

Then it was time to go to the Post office to mail more D&D books. https://www.ebay.com/usr/chantejone_29. I was once again starting to think I was going to get out of the post office with out there being something to talk about. But then this man and woman came in to mail someone their ID. They were looking for something so I asked what they were trying to do, that is how I know what they were mailing. I told them the cheapest way would be to get a stamped envelope and get it certified that way there would be tracking. And of course their response was oh we’ll ask when we get up there.

And then when it’s my turn I tell the post lady that I need to A pay for the mailers and B they can go media mail, she then proceeds to ask me how I want to ship them.

And the last part of today’s adventure. My wife wanted Starbucks on the way home so I took her, she made a mobile order and when I got to the Speaker I said Mildred has a Mobile order and what then asked what is the name on the order. God Damn I am so Glad that my lips are moving, but you can’t hear what I am saying.

What’s happening this week?

OSRIC: There are more edit’s to be Made to The King’s Castle. I left out a new monster state block so I need to put that in, I need to put the pre-gen in Alphabetical order. I am waiting for my cover guy to get back to me so we can get the updated cover from The Temple of Zeus and I need to add the World part to The Temple of Zeus.

Then it’s on to The Temple of Golden Nuts.

Wonderland: I need to spend the next Wonderland day getting the Temptress done. I still have so many classes I need to get done, and I can’t until this one is done.

Lady Fear: One of my Artist is working on the cover. I need to get started on the second draft, I am waiting form some information from my patreons. I am going to give them until Thursday and then I will just make stuff up.

But today I was helping my wife send stuff to her family. When we got there there was one lady at the counter mailing a few things that need were getting certified and was going to be there for a minute, a dude in front of us and a dude behind us. The post man could have helped all of us, but instead he called for help. And oh boy was that a mistake.

We could hear the lady getting mad at the Assistant post master, and when she came up front she was not happy to be there. And at one point called the Assistant back up to tell him that if she has to work up front then he needs to answer the other door when people drop stuff off.

The post man should have just helped everyone, because even with the two people that had no idea what they were doing, he got through everyone in line before the lady got done with my three packages that were all going to the same place.

Last week could have been better, but in fairness the reason I did not get as much done was because I took a road trip to the Golden State for my daughters Gymnastics. Now I am home and it’s time to get back to work.

So when I go to the post office it’s because I am mailing something gaming related. For a minute I thought I was going to get out of the post office with out an event today. But then as I was finishing up some guy came in to get a package for his brother that is in the Army. They would not give him the package because his id did not match the address on the package, and he says that the address is for his other brother, and of course my thought is then have your other brother come get it.

I love what I do, looking good for the spirit in the sky playing and writing D&D adventure and other things, and being a part of the craziness of the United States Post Office.

My trip to the post office was not very eventful, and I guess at the end of the day that is good. I don’t really do the surveys they print of the receipt because I don’t think they help the people that work their. But I learned that you can only do one a month if you want it to count for anything.

After the post office I had to go to go to one of the local game stores. It’s a weird store because they are in the warehouse district, so it’s kind of hard to get to unless you have a car. Or if you don’t mind walking 3 miles from the bus stop. All the Game Grid stores are in Warehouses that are out of the way I don’t understand. Anyway the thing I needed they don’t have so they don’t me to go to the Discord Server so we will see how that works out.

It seems very fitting to me that the 900th post I make is about an adventure to the post office. Now I have had a few adventures to the post office and I really should have wrote about them. Like the one that my cousin took me with her because I know what I am doing, and it’s always fun watching a new worker help some one that has no idea. But in 2024 how do you not have at least an Idea?

Anyway I go with my wife to the post office cause she needs to mail 3 boxes. Well we are filling out the costumes papers, one lady comes in with a return, The box is not taped and she doesn’t want to return it priority, so she is going to go back home to tape it. I inform her that they have tape she can buy. She says I have tape at home. Okay fine but the gas you have already used to get here, the gas you are going to use to get back home and the gas you will use to get back to the post office is not going to be less then the 5 dollars it cost for tape so unless you walked here it’s not cheaper to go back home.

The this guy that is my age or 5 years older brings this lady in oh is maybe 5 years younger then me, and is clearly the new assistant, and his introducing her to the people that work at the Post office and showing her how to mail what ever it is he needs mailed. I mean good for him, but when you are between the age of 30 and 35 how do you not know how to use the post office, Any way they are mailing what ever it is and the postal worker is giving the price options and she says it’s almost a book. Okay it either is a book and can do Media Mail or it’s not there is no it’s almost a book.

Oh man I really need to make sure I do an adventures of Chantel every time I go to the post office. it’s a good thing tomorrow I am going to the American Fork post office were all the postal people are ladies.
