It’s time for a new week, but before we get into let’s talk about how last week went.

Last week one goal was to get The Temple of Set done. That goal has been reached, now it’s time to get it typed up and sent out. I will talk to my artist tomorrow about what I need.

The other goal last week was to work on the Ravnica game. I was able to work on the Ravnica adventure, but I am not sure that little work I did counts towards my goal so we will say I got that one half done.

Alright, what are the goals this week? Well, I need to type as much as I can on The Temple of Set and Mt. Kolob. So there is that.

It’s time to put as much attention as I can into working on the two Ravnica projects I have. I need to get Working for Krenko out in the Second Quarter. The little thing I am writing for one of the bars will come out when it does, but it’s just a little thing so I kind of want to get it out of the way. And then I need to start writing stuff for the Love Story adventure.

With the end of The Temple of Set, I can now start working more on the Wonderland setting. Right now I will just be working on writing, and reading the books that I need to read for each edition of the game. Then when I am done typing the last to Final Dream adventures I can work on the Wonderland Map when I am not at work.

I was thinking that I might do a version for Basic D&D using the Blue Homles rules, but I have not decided yet.

The play by post game is going well, I thought I was trapped in a box, but I am not sure anymore, I think it’s just the demon that is messing with me.

The in-person Ravnica game took a week off, I did not feel like driving in the snow.

So I am in this discord server and I jump into the voice channel and hear someone talking about trying to figure out what to wear to Gary Con. Now he is going to Gary Con In Lake Geneva, and I am just playing games online, but I am glad I am not the only one that has the problem of trying to figure out what to wear.

Now one day when I was working at Dairy Queen someone asked me where would you wear a 200 Dollar Vampire Dress? The answer is simple really for 200 dollars I would wear that dress everywhere. I have one more frog that I need to write up, and then I can start working on The six, so the second goal this week is to work on The Gay Frogs of Wonderland and the Six.

We have only made our characters for this game. There are Two Dimir agents and an Orzhov member. This one should be fun.

The in-person Ravnica game: There is a member of the Orzhov Syndicate He is a cleric and he has a whip made of coins I love it. A member of the Golgari Swarm a Circle of Spores Druid, and a member of the Izzit League. There is going to be a 4th player, but I don’t know what they are playing yet.

This group broke my test play in 5 minutes. They charmed Krenko into turning himself in. now we are just exploring the city. I am going to start working on notes for a new adventure called a Love Story. Just doing stuff in the city will let me try a game mechanic called love stories that I have wanted to try for some time.

I am kind of interested to see how they react, to an encounter with members of their own guild.

Many moons ago Bret Micheals asked for Something To Believe in. There are lots of things to believe in, but I feel that we have kind of gotten away from that, and I am not even talking about god, but if that is your thing then ok as long as you are not harming anyone.

For some, it’s John Henry, and for others, it’s a Blue Ox that likes to eat pancakes. And for others, it might be a Fighter pilot that shouts down Russian Aircraft, Their name is Ghost.

I don’t even care if it’s real or not, because if it is then that is one badass person kind of like when Snoopy took down the Red Baron. And if it’s not real then it’s still a great story to get behind like when Snoopy took down the Red Baron. But don’t come at me with how Twitter is blowing up with how fake this story is, because most of the crap on Twitter is fake.

I don’t know what happened to the days that a person could believe in a five-headed dragon or the Tooth Fairy, but part of me thinks that that is part of what is wrong with the world today that we can’t just let people be. And I hope that maybe just a little we can figure it out, and enjoy that fish story no matter how much that fish grows every time we hear the story.

Oh man, as I get ready for a new work week, I think I did okay with my goals last week, there is one more level of the Temple of Set, and my next project is coming along well, there are 31 days left in this quarter and I should have three products coming out.

So what about this week’s goals. There is a lot of business stuff to get done for my wife and my businesses, so I will be working on those.

I will be working on the rest of The Temple of Set I need to find the Demon door I wrote a while back or rewrite it, so I can get on with it, and then add one of my new monsters that will be coming out in the second product this quarter The Gay Frogs of Wonderland.

I know that I once said don’t write a blog when you are so tired you can’t think, but that is what I am doing right now. I want to write this one now because This Week in Gaming is coming and I start work again on Thursday.

Know as I write this blog about how you don’t need lore to have a fun game, I want to say that the problem with changing lore, is going to be those people that are really into will know when something is changed and they will call you out on it.

Settings like Greyhawk, Dragonlance, and Forgotten Realms have years and Years of lore, and that is really cool. I love Ravnica and its lore, but you don’t have to know any of it to have a fun game, and even if you know all of it, you can add to it and take away from it.

I try to use lore when working with my Ravnica adventures but I am 100% okay if someone wants to kill the Living Guildpact, or I might just take from the Twitch show that killed Jace and say he is dead now. But on the same hand, I don’t really use Greyhawk or Dragonlance because I don’t know the lore, so everything I did would be this is the lore now.

I know I just said that lore can change, so think about that before you get upset about the new Dragonlance books that are coming.

The Multiverse is going to change a lot of stuff. One question I have asked in a few discord servers is who would win in a war between the Red Wizards of Thay and The Scarlet Brotherhood? While if we get a new Greyhawk book we could find out. I mean the MtG Set Adventure in Forgotten Realms had a Planeswalker from Greyhawk.

Wonderland, as I work on this setting, I don’t have a lot of lore, because I want you to make it yours, there is going to be some and I hope people like it. But I just want to have fun in Wonderland and I don’t know what that looks like for you.
