I am not sure I am sold on the name of this weekly blog, but it’s the best I have right now, so I guess the question is do I number it each week or just call it this Gamer’s Goals?

I got my two week goal done, The Temple of Golden nuts is ready for typing.

This week my goals are to get more work done on the Ravenloft adventure for Ice and Dice, and Bloodmoor keep for Virtual Greyhawk con. I would like to make 50 dollars this week, and I want to add two more people to the patreon.

How I am I going to get more work done on Ravenloft? With being in the typing phase of The Final Dream I can write more Ravenloft, I will shot to do that everyday, but I have two days this week set aside just for Ravenloft. It is the same for Bloodmoor Keep, I have one day set for that.

Some times people ask questions on Facebook, and I don’t like writing long answer on Facebook so a new idea for a blog post is born. As I write this blog remember the right way to do something is the way you and your group is doing it. Now that being said don’t be a dick about it.

Let me share a story with you. Back in the 4e days this question came up about how you create characters just like it has to day, and some dude said he uses point buy because he would never leave his characters life up to chance. And of course I had to point out that the rolls at character creation have noting to do with if you live or die, and even if you and 18’s across the board you chances of dying are still 50/50. And if you are playing in a game that everyone agrees that you can’t die, than you could have all 3’s and it would not matter.

So the Question was posted do you use 3d6 in order, 3d6 and put them where you want to, or do you use 4d6 and drop the lowest?

While the first time I played D&D the dm told me to roll all the d6’s and yeah there are a lot of 18’s this way because yeah. And some times I still do this. but depending on the game I am playing is what roll system I use. When I am working on my old school stuff I use 3d6 in order, and when I am working on anything 3e and up I use 4d6 drop the lowest and reroll 1’s.

Now that being said in 4e I got tired of every character being the same so I started rolling 3d6 in order, oh man the looks I got where great and the characters where fun for me so it was a win-win.

What are the pros of having a job? you get money. What are the cons of having a day job? you have to do your weekly blog on a different day. That being said it will most likely change again in two weeks.

What is going on at The Swamp? while I am almost done with The Temple of Golden Nuts, I will reach the goal of having it done in two weeks. It might take a minute to get the art done for that, so in the mean time I will jump on The Temple of Set.

Happy Monday nerds. I did not do the weekly goal post because I was out, and when I got home it was time for bed so I could wake up and do the job interviews if have today. I still have them and while one of them is to get my magic cards and the stuff from the yard sale page on Ebay. As much and I don’t like Ebay that seems to be the way to go right now.

I took everything of the game store page that was not a product of The Swamp, and maybe later I will put stuff up that I order from other places we will see. And I have gotten ride of the Yard sale all together.

I want to start today with, I have only done this August thing one time, like what is your favorite Monster, or what was the first class you played? and Normally I see other bloggers doing it, but this year I have not seen anyone doing it this year.

Now with that stupid thought out of the way, let’s get into this week. Let’s start with Salt Con End of summer. I helped with one AL game, and yeah I still don’t like AL, but if someone else have a good time, I am all for that. I also played in an Aliens RPG game. That game is insane. I did not stay for the full weekend, three days of gaming was just a little to much for me out of the gate. That being said it was good to be back to gaming and seeing everyone having a good time.

The Final Dream I: I have 14 days to get two levels done. Today is the 4th day and I have finished level 3 and level 4 is coming along just fine. I am going to make this goal and that makes me happy.

Bloodmoor Keep: I still have some reading to do, but I have the map for the keep done, and next Thursday I will be able to start writing the adventure.

Ravenloft: I have had writers block on a project that I love, for two weeks and it drove me nuts. But now I have a plan and it’s coming along and will be ready to go for the Ice and Dice Con.

It’s been a good week, and that makes me happy, so until next time keep gaming.

I don’t think I want to call it an adventure and for sure don’t want to call it goals of the week, but I don’t have a name for this weekly blog about the goals I want to achieve for the week, maybe you have some ideas.

I don’t think I have enough magic cards left to get 10 cards on the Website everyday, but I need to get as many as I can. I also need to figure out how to promote the page more.

I have been sitting on this idea for some time, but not sure how it would be received, but now I am just throwing it out there, I am sure someone will tell me what they think. I was helping a friend with their schooling so for like 4 months I had a life/business coach, and it was nice being accountable. I am still pushing along, but I have been thinking about doing a Sunday blog to share my goal for the week and be more accountable.

I am almost done with this week but the goals were to make 10 dollars I know that’s not a lot, but whatever and to make sure I get magic cards on to the the game store 3 out of 5 days. I have achieved both goals.

The goal that I failed at was getting level three of the Temple of Golden Nuts done, I have not done a lot of writing at all this week, and today is the last day I can do that until the con is over.

The Final Dream: I have about 20 rooms left to write for the Temple of Golden Nuts, I might get some more done today, but I am not counting on it.

All the other projects I am looking at, I have not even thought about them this week. I think that is all for this week so until next time keep gaming.

New this blog is not really about the end of 5e which is not coming for some time, that being said in the discussion that game about on my facebook page, there was this. I  fully expect a 50th anniversary slew of products. Mostly retro. But I am not expecting a 6th edition announcement or release then. So today my thoughts are about what we could get with 50 years of D&D or what comes in the D&D Gold box set?

Side note, it would be nice if we got the gold box computer games remastered.

Now before we get in to adventures on their own I would be happy if WotC took all the Giant adventures from each editions. Also if they did all the different Tombs of Horror.

Alright now that we have the two big things out of the way, I have this idea that we would get two adventures for each edition. Now for my first picks I know that they come from basic, but it will be updated to 5e so I don’t really care.
